this was not a fantastic long weekend. on saturday i was out with lawrence and we went to check out the comme des garcons guerilla store in temple street. the signage was as expected, about as big as an A4 size paper. lucky i spot it. so we went up a narrow staircase and had to open a heavy door and there was an angmo guy inside trying on a shirt. anyway we left soon enough after being promptly ignored by the salespeople and spotting the 150-500 price range. then we went to town and met keith teo and kiwi and zhicheng. anyway two of these guys, who shall remain anonymous, bought the same energie sandals the next day. abeit in different colours. still..

then i was late for my class gathering, the second in two weeks. or was it three? xinyi's panicky call: don't leave me alone with karen and her boyfriend!! me: but you did that to me before. we went to the new olio restaurant at suntec. and what's with all the 'olio's? there's olio dome, and then we saw olio bites, at which everyone thought i was bringing them to eat doughnuts, and then there's olio. but this place has a nice classy ambience and you might consider dinner there. i was feeling nauseous throughout dinner probably cuz of all the shopping. bene was telling the rest about his business propositions, nick was drinking a vodka cocktail called 'stress buster', bingxun was sharing army gossip, theodore discussed the merits of 'the village', xinyi thought andrew was having a salad even though it plainly did not look like a salad and karen did not have horrible hair.

then me and xy went to ps to meet zhenjin and keith. we wanted to watch farenheit 911 but only single seats were left. so we sat at the gelare place and had the most interesting conversation mostly about the different classes of people in school. culture clash and the like.
xy: the cool people in school are different. they like to party.
zj: but we like to party too.
and we came down to the conclusion that we all secretly desired to be called 'kantangs' even though we all speak mandarin at home and are more cheena than people who speak english all the time. we are more kuai but we're wacky. uniformed groups are not cool at all.

on sunday i did driving and did the simulator which was like driving in arcade. it had cars which disobeyed the rules and made me crash once. then i cut my hair and i went swimming. then i had quality family time going to ntuc with my parents and sis. i bought about 50 dollars worth of groceries. then we also had dinner and we saw the fireworks from my grandparents' 26 storey flat. it was a short performance. we couldn't see the low ones and only saw the few high ones. it was terribly bright but it lasted like less than 5 mins.

at home i tried to watch mulholland drive and secretary but fell asleep. the review of the dim sum dollies is so yummy but i can't watch it! bleargh.
