today was supposed to be different but ended up the same, because no one has any new idea as to what to do. movies were out and nobody was keen on watching the shanghai jazz concert. apparently, a jazz rendition of rose, rose i love you wasn't an appealing enough reason to watch the show.
but it was good because for the first time in a long while, there were more than 4 people at dinner. in fact, there were 6. we also checked off everything in the list of things to do on a boring saturday night.
- meet at city hall mrt with no particular place to go in mind (ticked)
- wait for people to come at the citylink hmv (ticked; almost wanted to buy 3cds for $20- jane's addiction, dandy warhols and black rebel motocycle club )
- wander around for a dinner place for 2 hours (ticked)
- walk in circles (ticked; went past suntec fountain twice)
- end up in a restaurant with rather bad service (ticked; the outback is understaffed)
- visit the esplanade (ticked; saw the well heeled crowd that came out of the concert hall; sat at the promenade discussing nightmares about broken ipods)
- browse the movie poster shop and eat at max brenner's (ticked, not ticked; didn't want to queue)
- stroll down the singapore river yet again (ticked)
- talk about new phones and old classmates (ticked)
- stop across the road from the fullerton hotel wishing i were inside (ticked; also spotted a woman with huge boobs)
- drink (ticked; that's ice milo at mcdonald's but i should have tried orange mcfizz)
can't recall the last time i got high.
