it's still not snowing hard

It's been a long time since I last had a list.

• omgorgeous photos of the Beijing olympic stadium under construction.
• Genting is coming to Sentosa. ("So low class!"-Christina) ok I guess it's not that bad (as 8th wonder's). It just looks really generic. It's like a Pasir Ris NTUC resort, except bigger. I don't know why they keep touting Michael Graves as a starchitect, because he isn't one. Singapore doesn't deserve a Gehry. Actually, I think Singapore is never going to get anything iconic, no matter what the government does. I just want to live in Manhattan. Anyway I just watched a channel news asia video. I wanna cry now. It's going to attract lots of asians though.
  Here's the good:
  A Cirque du Soleil show. And yet, do you know that each new Cirque attraction at Vegas has been said to be more disappointing than the last. ie. Mystere >> O >> Ka >> Le Reve.
  Some Crane Ballet show that sounds a wee bit promising.
  A Dreamworks studio collaboration.
  The oceanarium, perhaps.
  The bad:
  The all new "Journey to Madagascar" attraction.
  A Zheng He boat. Complete with acrobats. Seriously?
  "this corny huge SENTOSA sign" (ZJ) by the side which we'll have to pass by every time we cross the bridge.
  The very same "village-like festive ambience" that STB wanted.
  
  It's all political, baby. Can't wait for the inevitable Celine Dion concert.
  
• It's Europe part deux this winter! Some things to do:
• Jewish museum and the Reichstag in Berlin. I'm sorry, but we have to go see Daniel Libeskind's masterpiece for the same reason I dragged people to see Herzog & de Meuron's de Young museum in the Golden Gate Park. I'm going in this time.
  
• Buy a Freitag bag in Zurich without the ridiculous 55 Euro shipping charge.
• Eat the Sachertorte at Hotel Sacher in Vienna.
• I'm excited about next semester because I'm going to be a TA.
• I took an online test to see whether I'm tone deaf. I got 69%, slightly below the normal of 70%.
  
• The Twista concert wasn't very good, but maybe that was because the crowd weren't that onto it. However, Lupe Fiasco was very funny. He's embarking on a tour right now, catch him if you can. Lupe Fiasco featuring Jill Scott - Daydreamin'.
  
• Timbaland has had a really hot year. Now, imagine him teaming up with Bjork. Her next album has been described to be "hip hop". We're in for some really danceable weird songs next year. Timbaland featuring Nelly Furtado & Justin Timberlake - Give it to me.
• Here's what I want for Christmas: A Space Invaders scarf.
