Thanksgiving dinner last week was great, as usual. Not pictured: goose, beef in pastry, cheese fondue, I can't even remember what I ate. Legends party at Pi Kapp was a blast too.

It pains me that I haven't seen any of the big award contender movies this year-- the Departed was an unfortunate miss in nyc, but hey, we did catch the Queen, which had the outstanding Helen Mirren. But now it seems that Martin Scorcese would be denied his acknowledgement once again-- a huge film is looming on the horizons-- Dreamgirls. If the studio plays their cards right, this would be Chicago , but bigger. I would say that the buzz for Dreamgirls is deafening right now. Especially about Jennifer Hudson's astonishing performance. David Carr explains why Dreamgirls will be the film that ate the 79th Annual Academy awards.

Tonight's episode of Desperate Housewives was pitch perfect--the script, the comedy, the tragedy, Felicity Huffman, even Teri Hatcher. The show has officially redeemed itself. I think it was one of the best episodes since the beginning. A must watch!
